The Northwest Wisconsin Fall Splendor Art Meander is a self-guided tour of twenty-three galleries and studios in nine towns and villages during the fall color change. The Meander celebrates the living and creating spaces of local artists and features the work of some of the area’s best painters, potters, sculptors, photographers, crafters, upcycle artisans, writers and musicians.

The Art Meander starts Friday, September 28th, 10:00 to 6:00, Saturday, September 29th, 10:00 to 5:00 and Sunday, September 30th, 11:00 to 3:00, including the cities and villages of Spooner, Shell Lake, Sarona, Cumberland, Rice Lake, Chetek, Turtle Lake/Clayton and Dallas along and just off US Highways 63 and 53. Maps and brochures are available at participating venues and sponsors.

This event is in its 9th year. Each artist’s work will be on display and several will give live demonstrations. Many of the sponsors will also host artists as well as poets and musicians who will be performing at select locations. The Art Meander gives visibility to some of the region’s most experienced artists and introduces many emerging creatives to tourists and residents alike.

The Fall Splendor Art Meander was established when a small band of accomplished artists decided to combine their efforts and organize an art crawl to invite “meanderers” to tour their studios and galleries during the beautiful autumn color change. The Fall Splendor Art Meander has grown to include nine cities, towns and villages where 29 private studios and retail brick and mortar art galleries host some of this region’s best artists and crafters.

“There are no art snobs here,” comments Esa Everroad, artist and Purple Pelican Gallery owner, “You’ll see everything from modern to traditional, abstract to representational art, wearable art, pottery, glass, jewelry, furniture, salvage art, up-cycled art, conglomeration art and more."

"The art and craft industry enriches our homes, bodies, wardrobes, offices and public spaces. It contributes to the nation’s economy, its balance of trade, and the fabric of our national history. It is original, beautiful and enduring.”

Broad Ripple Art Fair at the Indianapolis Art Center

  • Indianapolis Art center (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Our first time at this Art fair located in Indiana. “One artist, one at a time.” This is the core principle of the OneAmerica Broad Ripple Art Fair. We value fine art and fine craft by individual artists or collaborative teams who both create the work personally and sell it directly to the retail customer, and we ask all of our participating artists to share this value.

The mission of the Indianapolis Art Center is to engage, enlighten and enhance our communities through art education, participation and observation. The OneAmerica Broad Ripple Art Fair was created in 1971 by Marjorie Beal, who envisioned an event that would showcase local artists and be hosted by the Art Center (then Indianapolis Art League). Now celebrating its 47th year, the Art Fair attracts an average of 16,000 patrons and offers an opportunity for the public to meet 225 artists from the U.S. and Canada, 2 food courts, craft beer and wine, live entertainment, and to learn about and experience the unique mission of the Art Center.

The Art Fair is located on the grounds of the Indianapolis Art Center designed by Hoosier Architect Michael Graves and its 9-acre ARTSPARK, plus the adjacent North Side Optimists Opti-Park, a recreational park. Located in the Broad Ripple Village Cultural District— a cultural arts, shopping, night club, and dining district—the OneAmerica Broad Ripple Art Fair is next to the popular Monon Trail urban greenway.
