We are so thrilled to be participating in our first-ever ART-A-WHIRL in NE Minneapolis!

We will be located in AMF Gallery (#152) within the legendary Northrup King Building.

Gallery hours for the event will be:

Edina Fall into the Arts Festival is a benefit for the Edina Crime Prevention Fund, which keeps the residents of Edina safe. Centennial Lakes Park is a prime location for an art fair, and said to be one of the most beautiful locations in the country. Artists display their artwork along the brick and paved walkways of Centennial Lakes Park. This urban oasis is located adjacent to one of the busiest shopping corridors in the state along France Avenue in Edina.

We will continue to learn the basics of painting with watercolors. We will start complete an easy painting to understand how the water/color moves, layering, wet on wet, wet on dry, etc. We will work on painting poppies.

These classes are not about leaving with a masterpiece. It is about trying something new & leaving your comfort zone. It’s about laughing, getting messy and maybe making a friend or two. Let’s tap into that creative right brain of yours and have some fun.

Cost- $25

This will include the following:

  • All the supplies you need to create a piece of art.

  • Instruction to paint said painting by half-assed artist & owner of Tin Cat Studio, Lisa Lee.

  • This is a Paint & Sip event: There will be wine, water & some sodas available.

  • Snacks. As a part of the price of admission it is asked that you bring a SMALL amount of a fun snack to pass. Think cheese (Lisa LOVES cheese), cup cakes, cookies, tiny quiches, a bag of chips, salsa, dips, veggies, jello, or whatever you choose! Be as creative (baked brie) or as lame (bag of chips) as you wish ;)

  • For March, we will do a ‘simple project’ variety day - options for felting, darning, drop spindles, weaving, knit or crochet. A chance to explore with wool fibers.
